Postmodern Leadership

A beloved professor of mine from McGill, Karl Moore, is about to publish his new book: Post Modern Management. Here is an 18-minute video of him talking about the content of his book. We previously talked about some of his points but it is always entertaining to see Prof. Moore in action.

Why don’t you watch the video below and let me know what you think? If you don’t have 18 minutes (but the video is well worth it) then here is a brief summary of what he says:

  1. As a boss you should talk less and listen more.
  2. You should seek all kinds of diversity and embrace it.
  3. Your employees will perform much better when they are emotionally engaged.
  4. Millennials are looking for meaningful work. Make sure there is a sense of purpose at the work place.
